 About Me:

I am Jocelyn Elizabeth, Certified LIFE Coach & founder and creator of Black Moms Heal. A single mom of two children. Becoming a mom has been my greatest blessing but it also revealed a lot of unresolved trauma. As a result of my healing journey, I have birthed the movement, "Black Moms Heal."

Honestly being a single mom is not the life I would have intentionally chosen for myself and my children. That uncomfortable truth led me down the road to a deep dark depression. I experienced a season that felt like no matter how hard I tried life itself was against me and I would never climb out of the dark space I was in. I battled with thoughts of suicide questioning if my existence mattered.

Knowing that I couldn't leave my children in this world without me I made a decision to heal. I became intentional in my relationship with God seeking a purpose for my life. As I traveled on my path of healing I learned that many of the traumas I experienced began generations before me. With that knowledge, I have devoted my life to healing so that I can break the chain of generational curses plaguing my bloodline.

As a result of much pain, I discovered my life’s purpose is to be a light. I am thankful for every experience that has led to me this present moment. Black Moms Heal was created to be a shining light to help, love, encourage, and support other single moms on their journeys to finding peace and purpose in their lives. To all the Black Moms I see you and I love you always.
